INOVA Federal Credit Union donates 595 pounds of food to Church Community Services
Elkhart, IN- On December 14, INOVA Federal Credit Union donated 595 pounds of food to Church Community Services in Elkhart, IN. This donation was the result of the continuing wellness program that the Credit Union created in 2008.
For the past 18 months, INOVA Federal Credit Union has taken an active role in the health and wellness of its credit union staff. The credit union has worked to create an environment that encourages an active, healthy lifestyle.
In November, INOVA introduced its latest wellness initiative called the “Pound for Pound” Challenge. The Credit Union collected one pound of food for every pound or inch staff members have lost since starting the wellness program. Staff would bring in one pound of food for every one pound lost, or one pound of food for every five inches lost. This donation was the result of this unique challenge.
Church Community Services is a faith-based, non-profit agency that serves those in crisis in Elkhart and the surrounding area.
